Methodology & Data Sources
This tool estimates the CAT percentile you need for a PI (Personal Interview) shortlist at each of the 21 IIMs and FMS Delhi, based on your academic profile.
1. How we estimate your percentile
We use official admission policy data wherever available. Using past year cut-offs with your academic profile (10th, 12th, graduation, work experience, gender, and academic diversity) where the college considers them, we reverse calculate the CAT percentile you'd need to clear the PI shortlist for your category and gender. Wherever official data is not available, we use estimates based on reported data.
Sources: Official IIM admission policies (2026–28), RTI response data available on public forums and websites.
2. Confidence Markers
No marker = formula and cutoff verified from official IIM policy or RTI data.
* (asterisk) = unverified estimate. Use as a directional guide only — verify independently before making decisions.
3. Important Caveats
- Estimates vary by applicant pool — a competitive year may push cutoffs higher.
- Some IIMs normalize academics against the applicant pool — our approximations are ±2–5 points.
- Sectional cutoffs are for the General category unless you select a reserved category.
- Female relaxation (typically 2 percentile) is applied where offered.
