You should play logical games beta and you should read a lot. When you play a game like chess, you are forced to use your brain and think in terms of correct and incorrect moves. You get instant feedback when your logic fails because you end up losing. And when you read a lot, you argue with the writer's opinions a lot. If you are reading only 1-2 articles a day, that argument will be biased, shallow and meaningless, but if you are reading 8-10 articles a day, your arguments will improve because some other writer in some other article will have already proven your arguments wrong. And thus, you will get an immediate feedback of your mistakes.
