What percentile to target with a 55% UG score

Well, mere bachhe... sicne you haven't told me your category, what UG course you have actually done and whether you have any work-ex or not, I can't give you a perfect figure. Numbers change from person to person depending on all the factors mentioned above. Even though I am against generic advice, I will answer this question with this caveat that it is generic :) So, I can say two things - 1. target 95 for now. That should be enough to fetch you some good calls. Then during your preparation journey, as you go, you can tweak your target. If you are doing good and are achieving 95 easily, you can increase it to 98-99, but if you are struggling to reach 95, you can lower it to 90. 2. Your first priority should be to fulfill your potential, not to run after a score. Just because someone on the internet is telling you he achieved 99 in just 3 months does not mean you will too. Similarly, just because someone else is saying he could not score 80 even after 2 attempts, does not mean you won't be able to as well. Your journey is your own. Your targets should be your own, based on your strengths and weaknesses. And assessing your strengths and weaknesses takes time. If you decide a target on day 1 of your preparation, it is the wrong thing to do.
