Verified-Role Terms

Last updated: 12 August 2026

By applying for a verified Educator or B-school Alumnus badge on CATLab, you agree to the following:

1. This is you

The profile, name, LinkedIn, photograph and credentials you submit are genuinely your own and truthful. You are not impersonating any other person or institution.

2. Verification

You agree that CATLab will verify you — including reviewing your LinkedIn profile and speaking with you on a video call — before any badge is granted, and that a badge may be refused or delayed at CATLab's discretion.

3. Your phone number

You consent to CATLab storing your phone number to verify you and to secure your account in future (for example, one-time-password login). It is kept private and is not shown to other users.

4. You are independent

A verified badge does not make you an employee, agent, partner or representative of CATLab. You act on your own behalf. CATLab does not employ, supervise, or endorse you, and is not responsible for any guidance, opinion or advice you give to other users.

5. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for what you say and do on CATLab. You will not give harmful, misleading, or fraudulent advice, solicit money improperly, or misuse your standing with students.

6. False claims are on you

If any information you provide is false or misleading, you accept full responsibility and liability for it, and you agree to indemnify CATLab against any claim, loss or damage arising from your misrepresentation.

7. We can revoke

CATLab may remove your badge, suspend or delete your account, and report unlawful conduct, at any time and without notice, if you breach these terms or if we can no longer verify you. Students can report a verified user for review at any time.

8. Data

Your information is handled under CATLab's Privacy Policy.

Ticking the box means you have read and accepted these terms.
